Alfa Laval wins order for ethanol plant in Vietnam

Vietnam’s PetroVietnam Group has chosen Alfa Laval to supply equipment and engineering solutions for an ethanol plant the company plans to build in the north of the country.

The SEK100 million ($14.2 million) order calls for many of the plant’s ethanol production processes to be carried out by Alfa Laval heat exchangers, Biofuel Review reports.

The plant is part of Vietnam’s national biofuel development programme which aims to produce 320 million litres of ethanol and vegetable oil by 2015.
