The UN Climate Change Conference (COP31) will take place in Antalya, Türkiye from November 9 – 20, 2026. Jointly led and partnered by the Presidency of Türkiye and Australia, the core theme of this year’s conference is Dialogue, Consensus and Action. The COP31 is a crucial summit as the focus will shift from commitments to concrete actions.
The COP31 Action Agenda focusses on ten priority areas including Zero Waste, Oceans and Seas, Food Security, Climate Resilient Cities, Climate Implementation Bridge (CIB), Youth and Education, Green Industrialization, Clean Energy Transition, Rio Synergy and Dynamic and Resilient Health Systems.
The World Bioenergy Association (WBA) has been an official NGO observer to the UNFCCC for decades and has represented the bioenergy sector at various levels of engagement. At COP31, we aim to share the role of bioenergy in enabling climate mitigation and supporting the energy transition.
We have confirmation of our application for official side event and exhibition space in the Blue Zone while we are under discussions with numerous partners for further engagement.
