The GBEP Youth Award aims to promote and encourage promising research carried out by students on bioenergy. The Award encompasses all aspects of bioenergy: environmental, social and/or economic sustainability; contribution to the circular bioeconomy; technologies; supply chain and logistics; societal practices; policy and strategies; and climate change.
This year, winning candidates will have the opportunity to present their research and collect their award certificate during a special session at the first-ever GBEP-YUNGA Bioenergy Youth Day during the 11th GBEP Bioenergy Week to be held at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy, in June 2024 (exact dates to be confirmed). In addition, awardees will earn the chance to present their work during other high-level relevant international events, organized or co-organized by GBEP, throughout 2024.
