The World Bioenergy Association (WBA) is pleased to announce that Bharadwaj Kummamuru takes over the role of Executive Director. He was previously working as the Project Officer for WBA since 2014. He will succeed Karin Haara who will continue her work in WBA as a Senior Advisor.

“It is a great privilege for having this opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of World Bioenergy Association. Having been a part of the association for the past 3.5 years, I am well aware of the various challenges and opportunities of the organization. As the leading global bioenergy association, we will continue our vision for promoting sustainable bioenergy worldwide and to create value for our members’ – says Bharadwaj Kummamuru.

WBA would like to express gratitude to Ms. Karin Haara for her excellent work in developing the organization. Her tireless efforts have increased the presence and value of the organization. She will continue providing valuable advice for WBA with her extensive knowledge of bioenergy and networks developed over the years.

With the help of the former and current President, board members and members, we have built up a truly global network of bioenergy associations, companies and individuals.
