The World Bioenergy community sends our thoughts and sympathy out to the Japanese people

We send our thoughts and sympathy out to the Japanese people as they begin to come to terms with the terrible aftermath of the recent earthquake and ensuing tsunami.

The on-going situation has lead the community to whole heartedly support the advice from regional renewable energy experts including one statement from the Vice President of the World Wind Association, Professor. Chuichi Arakawa; ”Various studies have shown that Japan is blessed with an abundance of wind and other renewable resources which can be used to rebuild and strengthen our country. We need some time to summarize this situation while taking Japanese mentality into account. However, I am confident that Japan will draw the necessary conclusions from the recent incidents and hopefully start to become a renewable energy nation."
