WBA announces the New Webinar Series

The World Bioenergy Association (WBA) is pleased to announce a series of 3 more webinars for 2024. The webinars will address topics related to biomass heating, logistics of large supply chains of biomass trade, and the critical topic of financing bioenergy projects. The webinars will include expert speakers from industries, trade associations, and financial institutions. We are also pleased to announce Bioenergy International as our official partner for the upcoming webinar series.

The first webinar (Bioenergy for Flexibility in Energy Systems – Part II: Heat Demand, October 8) will delve into the critical role of bioenergy in addressing fluctuating heat demand in modern energy systems, where the balance between heat and electricity generation must be optimized to maintain system efficiency.

The second webinar (Optimizing Industrial Supply Chains: Building bioenergy trade, November 4) will highlight the various challenges as well as innovations needed to improve efficiencies for large-scale trade of biomass commodities around the world.

The final webinar of 2024 (Financing Bioenergy: Challenges and Success Stories Across End Use Sectors, December 11) will throw light on the complexities of funding bioenergy initiatives and provide a comprehensive guide to financial planning and investment strategies.

All the webinars are available on demand and can be viewed on the WBA homepage: Link. Previous webinars have addressed topics related to bioenergy for flexibility in electricity systems, its role in atmospheric carbon dioxide removal, the future of liquid biofuels, and the use of modern biomass for decarbonizing industrial heat demand. Moreover, the WBA has also organized three India-specific webinars looking at biomass use to reduce coal demand, densification technologies, and optimizing aggregation and supply chains.

Although participation in the webinars is free, it is mandatory to register
