The World Bioenergy Association (WBA) is pleased to invite bioenergy stakeholders to our upcoming General Assembly and study visit to Beijing, China during 19 – 23 October 2023. The General Assembly is part of a tour which includes a forum on Biomass Clean Heating in Beijing followed by site visits of boiler installations, pellets production and cookstoves manufacturing. There will also be an opportunity for sightseeing in around Beijing.

Logistics: Flights
Beijing Capital International Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA) is the main international airport serving the city of Beijing in People's Republic of China. There are many direct flights from around the world to Beijing.
Accommodation
Provisional rooms will be booked in Guizhou Plaza Hotel (Link), a 4 star hotel located at the West Gate of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (Link). If you wish to avail rooms, please inform us at the earliest. Delegates pay for their own accommodation.
Conference (Biomass Forum, Beijing)
The International Cooperation Forum on Biomass Clean Heating will be held in the campus of BUCT on October 20th. It will have almost 100 participants and the attendees will involve:

Local Transport
The local transport for sight-seeing as well as site visits on 21st October will be arranged by the local host as well as WBA.

For those who require visa to travel to China, please go through the official website (e.g., Visa). To prevent any delays, please apply for visas at the earliest. For any assistance regarding invitation letters etc., please let us know asap.

General Assembly 2023
The WBA General Assembly will be held on 19th October at the Guizhou Plaza Hotel in a hybrid mode. Please indicate your availability to attend the GA either physically in Beijing or through Zoom call at the earliest. Further details to join the call will be shared in due course. The GA will tentatively begin at 1700 hrs Beijing time / 1100 hrs Stockholm time (CET). The GA is open for members only while non-members can join as observers.
