In order to facilitate the expansion and development of the biogas and bio-energy sector in India, the Indian Biogas Association (IBA) has partnered with the Informa Markets to organize the esteemed "Bio-Energy Pavilion 2023" at the Renewable Energy India Expo in Greater Noida, India. This significant event is scheduled to take place from October 4th to October 6th, 2023, and supported by the World Bioenergy Association.
The introduction of the SATAT (Sustainable Alternative towards Affordable Transportation) initiative by the Government of India has generated substantial excitement within the market. Thus far, over 4000 Letter of Intent (LOI) have been issued, and numerous plants have already commenced supplying Compressed Biogas (CBG) to Oil Marketing Companies, with a promising outlook for future growth.
IBA has actively endeavored to enhance the visibility of the Biogas sector through its consistent participation in the Renewable Energy Expo (REI), a prestigious renewable energy event, since 2018. The past editions of the Bio-Energy Pavilion organized by IBA in 2019 and 2022 achieved notable success. In 2019, the pavilion featured the participation of 15 exhibitor companies, attracted over 2000 trade visitors, and facilitated more than 200 business meetings. In 2022, the event witnessed an even greater response, with over 30 exhibitor companies, over 10,000 trade visitors, and the organization of more than 850 business meetings.
For the upcoming 2023 edition, IBA extends a cordial invitation to companies and start-ups operating in diverse sectors pertaining to biogas and bio-energy. These sectors encompass Biogas, Biomethane, Bio-fuel, Waste Management, Sewage Treatment Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant, Biomass, Bio-Diesel, Bio-Ethanol, and Bio-fertilizer. The Bio-Energy Pavilion endeavors to provide a platform for these stakeholders to converge, fostering valuable networking opportunities, facilitating fruitful business collaborations, and enabling the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
Throughout the three-day event, attendees can anticipate engaging in enriching networking sessions, productive business meetings, and enlightening conference sessions featuring esteemed speakers, distinguished industry leaders, and influential policymakers. This comprehensive conference program is poised to chart a path towards sustainable growth within the biogas and bio-energy sector, addressing pivotal challenges and exploring innovative solutions.
