WBA welcomes new members

WBA welcomes the following new members (As of February 2016):

Full members

Lithuanian Biomass Energy Association: LITBIOMA was established in summer of 2003 and is currently comprised of 53 members. The association involves the producers and suppliers of solid biofuel and other renewable local resources, such as wood, straw, energetic willows, peat, as well as the producers and designers of biofuel boiler rooms and other equipment, developers of plantations and academic institutions. Website

Swedish Peat Association (Svensk Torv): The Association of Swedish Peat has been around since 1999 and is an umbrella organization for peat producers and users of peat for energy purposes as well as in garden soil conditioner and as litter in livestock farming. The purpose is to inform about the peat and peatland managed in a sustainable manner. Website

Meva Energy: Meva Energy is the provider of cyclone gasification technology for renewable energy production. The company's VIPP-system enables power and heat providers to utilize biomass in a uniquely efficient and profitable way. The company was founded in 2008 as a result of biomass gasification research at Luleå University of technology and at the ETC gasification center. Website

Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB: At Siemens, Sweden-map in Finspång is one of the main settlements were Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery produces world class steam and gas turbines. The turbines are sold as power sources for compressors and pumps, primarily in the oil and gas industry. The company is a part of the Siemens Group - one of the largest companies in the healthcare, energy and industry.
