The World Bioenergy Association is pleased to welcome the Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (DBFZ) as a new member of our global network.
DBFZ is Germany’s federal research institution dedicated to advancing the sustainable and efficient use of biomass within material and energy systems. Guided by the vision of a bioeconomy that operates without fossil resources, DBFZ works to ensure that limited biomass resources are used optimally. Their research identifies sustainable potentials, develops innovative applications, and supports technologies from laboratory scale to technical implementation.
With strong expertise in techno-economic analysis, life cycle assessment, and market evaluation, DBFZ plays a key role in shaping science-based solutions for a climate-neutral future. All activities are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
By joining the WBA, DBFZ aims to contribute its scientific knowledge to the global bioenergy community, strengthen international cooperation, and support the development of sustainable, modern bioenergy systems worldwide.
We look forward to working together toward shared climate and energy goals. Learn more about DBFZ at link.
