As COP30 concluded on 22nd November 2025 in the Amazon city of Belém (Brazil), here is a recap of the WBA advocacy activities at COP30.
11/11: Side Event
Organized in cooperation with WWEA (World Wind Energy Association), RECREE and Indian Biogas Association, the official Blue Zone Side event Driving Climate Mitigation Action Through Renewable Energy Solutions: Lessons from the Global South brought together leading experts in technology, markets, policies and finance. The presentations addressed a variety of topics including SAF, wind energy, and regional renewable markets. The event featured the launch of the Bioenergy Horizons documentary series.


12/11: Event at WGEO Pavilion
At the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO) pavilion, WBA hosted a roundtable ‘Bioenergy’s role in global energy transformation’. The event was well attended and the delegates shared updates on a variety of topics including SAF, Biofuels, Pellets and Forest biomass. The trailer of the Bioenergy Horizons was also launched.

14/11: Press Conference
On 15th November, WBA held an official Blue Zone Press Conference: ‘Bioenergy Horizons: Turning Innovation into Climate Action’. The event, moderated by board member Oscar Espinosa Mijares, featured the 2nd launch of the trailer of the Bioenergy Horizons documentary series. WBA member BAIF also presented their latest findings on bioenergy development in India.
