Travel Tokyo – Nagano
Site 1: Saku general hospital: The hospital in Saku-city that is operating a wood chip boiler (200kW) in 2015 with gas CHP. Wood chip has been supplied by a local forestry enterprise.
Site 2: Iizuna forest biomass power plant: Two biomass generation facilities (1.3MWel, 1.5WMel) using both local wood chip and demolished wood.

End of Bioenergy Mission
Airports: Haneda airport is the most convenient to access to central Tokyo (Link). However, a lot of airlines still have been using Narita airport (Link). The delegates should book their own flights as well as check VISA regulations for visiting Japan.
Accommodation: Hotel rates in Tokyo have been raising these days, and “business hotel” usually offers limited space rooms (Accommodation in Japan). We recommend that you will stay at IHJ (the venue of Monday’s symposium) at the member discount rate (Link). Otherwise, there are a lot of availabilities around Roppongi area.In Nagano, you can stay at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano where a reception will be held on 24th by the conference organizer (Link). It will cost about JPY13,000/night (including breakfast). The delegates should make their own arrangements. 1 Euro = 121 JPY (As of 16.03.2017)
Transport Japan – Nagano: You can buy a train ticket via the JR East web site in advance (Link). We will tell you a meeting point later (maybe at Sakudaira station one o'clock in the afternoon). More information to follow.
Local Transport: If you want to travel around after the conference, we recommend you to use JR EAST PASS (Nagano and Niigata area). It costs 17,000 yen (international sales in advance): flexible 5 days within 14 days of issuance (Link).
