WBA is supported by national and international bioenergy associations and is the international bioenergy body working with the world’s solar, wind, geothermal and hydro associations on the global level in the REN-Alliance.

WBAs 11 current board members come from 5 continents. They bring broad expertise and insights from India, China, Japan, USA, Sweden, Canada, Zambia, Kenya, Austria, Brazil and Australia. They are committed to bringing to reality the Action Plan of the WBA.

There are three types of memberships in WBA. Bioenergy association and organisations advocating bioenergy are welcome to join as Full Members. Companies are welcome to join as Associate Members. Individuals can join as Individual Members. In order to welcome as many members as possible we apply differentiated fees adjusting to the individual means of the potential member.
