I am a member of the board because I want to: I am a member of the board because I want to contribute to increase a sustainable utilization and a fair distribution of bioenergy on a global level in order to combat climate change and secure supply of energy.
Important issue at home right now: The Swedish Presidency of the EU occurs when COP 15, the UN Climate Change Conference takes place in Copenhagen. That leads to a great opportunity to influence strategies for increasing the use of renewable energy sources when the new global agreement will be negotiated.
Important issue globally right now: Of course the COP 15 gives WBA a great chance to make actions, present position papers, etcetera in order to present the bioenergy possibilities. Special interest/knowledge in the bioenergy area: Many years experience of district heating and developing cogeneration of electricity and heat using different energy sources.
